Welcome to Kalanjali Dance Academy
Kalanjali Dance Academy was established to promote and propagate dancing traditions of India in the Quad Cities, US. Under the guidance of its founder - artistic director Sreedevi Nair, students at Kalanjali Dance Academy(KDA) are trained in Indian classical dance of Bharatanatyam. Apart from Bharatanatyam, they learn and explore varied genres including classical dance of Mohiniyattam, semi-classical, traditional, folk and fusion dances. Proper guidance is provided to dancers who like to accomplish Rangapravesham - maiden recital and advance to higher levels in classical dance forms.
Upon completion of 18 years, KDA began an initiative "Dance For Smiles" with the purpose of spreading joy through dance, giving special performances for seniors and institutions. "Tala Fitness - Fitness through rhythm" focuses on improving fitness and dancing skills for ladies of all ages. KDA makes an effort in spreading cultural awareness in and around QC through lecture demonstrations and continues to contribute through performances at multicultural festivals and charity events.
